Rust Server Hosting on the Flux Decentralized Cloud

Host your own Rust dedicated server on Flux, a decentralized cloud running on thousands of independent nodes across 50+ countries. Rust is the hardcore multiplayer survival game by Facepunch Studios — gather resources, craft weapons, build and fortify a base, and raid rival players. Deploy your own server with up to 200 players, enterprise-grade DDoS protection, 99.9% uptime and instant deployment. Both Vanilla and Oxide/uMod modded servers are supported. (This is Rust the survival game — not the Rust programming language.)

Why host your Rust server on Flux?

Traditional Rust hosts run on a handful of centralized data centres. Flux spreads your Rust server hosting across a decentralized network of thousands of independent nodes, so there is no single point of failure and you can place your server close to your players for low latency. Deployment is automated, the required ports (28015 game, 28016 RCON, 28017 Steam query) are opened for you, and the monthly Facepunch force wipe update is handled automatically.

How it works

  1. Create a free account with Google or email.
  2. Pick a plan sized to your community — 8GB (~50 slots), 10GB (~100), or 12GB (~200).
  3. Choose Vanilla or Oxide/uMod modded, then a server region near your players.
  4. Click deploy — your Rust dedicated server is live in about 30 seconds.

Vanilla vs modded (Oxide/uMod) Rust servers

A Vanilla Rust server plays exactly as Facepunch ships it — default gather rates and pure, competitive survival. A modded server uses the Oxide/uMod framework to load server-side plugins such as kits, teleports, economies and custom events. Players join both with the standard Rust client, so no client-side downloads are needed. You can start Vanilla and add Oxide later on a wipe.
